OLED LIGHTING

Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) are thin panels made from organic, carbon-based materials that emit a soft, natural light when electricity is passed through. To create an OLED panel, incredibly thin applications of carbon-based materials are layered between two electrodes. Light is emitted when an electrical current is applied.

NATURAL, HEALTHY LIGHT SOURCE.

The organic materials emit an even, soft, and natural light with nominal blue notes. The light is easier on the eye, providing a glare-free light source that doesn’t require any strain. Without large blue notes, OLEDs provide a healthier, more comfortable light that doesn’t cause sleep-related issues while still providing exceptional light quality.

THIN, LIGHTWEIGHT, AND FLEXIBLE.

Thinner than a strand of human hair, OLED panels aren’t structured like their bulb predecessors. As a result, the panels and accompanying lighting fixtures are thin, lightweight, and durable – and can even be flexible. Rather than a collection of individual bulbs, OLED uses a series of thin, light emitting films which allows them to be dispersed as a larger-area configuration for general ambient lighting.

COMPATIBLE AND COMPLEMENTARY.

OLED fixtures won’t displace your existing lighting sources. Rather, it’s best incorporated into your existing lighting plan that balances general light, task light, and accent light.  OLED modules can be paired with LEDs in a single fixture, and designed to maximize the benefits of both.

ENERGY EFFICIENT.

OLED lighting consumes significantly less energy than standard lights, using about 80% less electricity than a 60W bulb. They have an average lifespan between 30,000 and 40,000 hours.

COOL TO THE TOUCH.

Their unique structure produces very little heat, and OLED modules can be incorporated with materials other lighting sources cannot – textiles, wood, etc. – and are safe to touch. The design possibilities are tremendous.

CONNECTED.

As a solid state lighting technology, OLED lights can be connected to ‘the internet of things’. They’re compatible with control, dimming, and sensor systems – truly making them the future of lighting.

ORGANIC AND RECYCLABLE.

OLEDs are composed of carbon-based materials, with no mercury or lead. As such, they can be easily recycled.

CUSTOMIZABLE.

Thin, flexible, cool-to-the-touch modules unshackles design restrictions of the traditional bulb.
